Hello, I’m Neelie!

I am a self taught everything artist :D

I really enjoy making things with my hands, whether that be with clay, a sewing project, up cycling and customising my things or even just drawing a picture. :)

I have had a creative streak for as long as I can remember and many of the people I grew up with encouraged and nurtured that.

My grandmother is one of my biggest role models artistically speaking. She was much more into theatrics and play writing and scripts and the sort but I can vividly remember a lot of my childhood summers spent at my grandparents house constantly creating things.

Whether it be drawing, painting, collaging or even doing interior design in the dollhouse she kept.

She taught me to sew as soon as I was old enough to be trusted with a needle.

(More for her gain, she was getting fed up of sewing my grandad’s trousers back together after his long days at the mill or bell ringing at the church.)

I really want to use this online space and my other platforms to really start experimenting and learning more about all kinds of mediums and techniques and to have somewhere to document it all.

I have in no way mastered any of the crafts I dabble in currently but I’m always eager to learn and improve and if sharing that journey online can create a safe space for me and other like minded creatives then I am more than willing to give it a go!

TLDR:
I love my grandparents.
Expect little bits of everything with barely any consistency.
